No More Runnin'

I haven’t posted anything here in quite awhile because 1) I’ve been crazy busy at work and 2) I just don’t really have much to say other than life is pretty awesome.

The universe has really been good to me the past couple of weeks. I got to visit my mom in prison for the first time in over four years! She was just as over the top and friendly as ever. [Makes me sad to think a personality like hers is wasting away in prison] She got to meet my husband for the first time too so it was a big deal. Kind of bitter sweet to be honest but…yeah.

My job is going swimmingly although I have this love-hate relationship with most of our guests. I did, however, make nearly $80 in tips yesterday so it isn’t all bad!

I started an Etsy shop earlier this year that is sloooowly chugging along. I’m still trying to find my niche in life (whatever that is) so I’m not sure what is next for me or my shop. In need of inspiration, yo!

Also: MY HUSBAND AND I ARE SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING BUYING ME A SCOOTER. I mean, so cute right? It’s miserable riding the bus and walking in this terrible Texas heat after standing on your feet for 8 hours. Plus, I would look awesome on one.

My husband played his first REAL show last night and he did absolutely awesome! So lucky to have such a talented (and beardy) husband :)

Needless to say, life is pretty okay and everything always works out as it should.

If you were looking to dine at a food truck, what kind of food would draw you in or interest you the most?

But how can we make friends here if we don’t go to college or party? We are planning to move next spring and hope we can make new friends since we don’t know anyone here.

(I feel like it’s gonna be like the first day of a school when you’re trying to find a friend to sit next to in lunch) Excited/nervous!

Also: Today I’m going to see my mom in prison for the first time in 4 years! Happy nervous feelings…
