1. Work it, girl!

    Today I did some serious cardio on the elliptical and gym bike thingy! 20 minutes at an incline did some crazy things to my poor calves. Hope I’m not all jelly-like at work tomorrow…

    Standing for 8 hours tomorrow might kill me…but one day I will be 30 pounds lighter and healthier!

    Also: nothing says “great job” like a rewarding tablespoon of post-workout peanut butter :)

  3. The moment you realize you can fit into men’s t-shirt (size small)

    Seriously, is this real life? I know I’ve lost 65 pounds since 2007 but come on. A SMALL? Large shirts were my high school companions.

    I’ve been on the Atkins diet for about 3 weeks now and I kind of like it alot. Sure, there isn’t a lot of variety when it comes to what you can eat. And sure, I get into these “food depressions” from time to time. (I mean, honestly. How does a foodie NOT get depressed when on this diet?) It has, however, given me a chance to reevaluate what I eat and what I am lacking. My veggie cup overfloweth! I’m kind of had my fill for red meat these days though. Eating steak 3 times a week was doing a number on my digestion tract.

    So far I’ve lost 16 pounds. That is a BIG deal to me. I’ve never really been all that good at losing weight since food is one of my true loves and working out is so “blah”. I know that if I exercised more I’d be shedding pounds much faster, but 16 pounds on this 5’3” frame is pretty significant, right? I can’t see any difference but other people have taken notice, which is really nice. There’s something very satisfying about people seeing results when you can’t. (I have a wicked jar line, y’all!)

    Anywho, I just wanted to get a little personal on my Tumblr for once. Also, they have this awesome recipe you make in the microwave. It tastes like french toast. TRY IT.
